Great workout set, April 15, 2007
By E. Hebda –
This review is from: Gilad: Quick Fit System Fat Burning Body Sculpting Cardio Workout Set (DVD)
I have been working out for many years and tried various instructors. Gilad is by far my favorite due to his excellent instruction, cueing, tips and motivation. His personality is great and he is also in amazing shape which is motivating in itself. His get fit quick system includes 3 cardio and 4 sculpting workouts which I use fairly regularly. The sculpting workouts are great and are the first sculpting workouts by which I have experienced significant results! Other sculpting workouts took me to the point where I began to feel the burn but Gilad’s workouts took me beyond that point which is why they are so effective. I find the abs workout to be particularly effective. I highly recommend this set of workouts.

Good for MEN, too, January 22, 2010

This review is from: Gilad: Quick Fit System Fat Burning Body Sculpting Cardio Workout Set (DVD)
I was really into weight-lifting for a while years ago. But I’ve since put on a few years and a few pounds. I realized that I needed to start doing some type of aerobic or cardio work, that my metabolism had slowed down and weights weren’t going to do it alone. I hate jogging and cardio machines bore the living crap out of me, so that left aerobics classes. The problem – finding a class or instructor teaching cardio routines that don’t make me feel like a gay Broadway dancer. I tried TaeBo briefly but it was higher intensity than I had in mind as a beginner. Perhaps I’ll work my way up to it.Enter Gilad. I stumbled across his BODIES IN MOTION show on FitTV one day. Against my will, I felt my body stand up and start to do the moves. I finished the 8-minute cardio session of the show – barely. Huffing, puffing, and sweating like a pig. But smiling. Here, finally, was cardio work being done by an (I assume) straight man using (mostly) masculine moves: martial arts, kick-boxing, old fashioned Jack LaLane calisthenics. I became a disciple. After working out with the show for a month or so I felt ready for full 30-40 minute cardio sessions. So I ordered Quick Fit.What you get are three cardio workouts that range from 32 to 37 minutes in duration. There are four toning workouts on one disk: “Hips Buns and Thighs”, “Chest and Back”, “Abs”, and “Shoulders and Arms.” The cardio workouts are the quality I’ve come to expect. Gilad is both fun and motivational, the music is tolerable and the scenery is great.A word should be said about the toning workouts: they are just that – toning, not mass-building. Low weight and high reps. Men should be aware these are not workouts that are going to pump you up to look like Gilad. They are primarily geared toward the toning-and-tightening exercises that are generally targeted at women. That’s not to say they won’t benefit men as well, particularly ones that haven’t worked out for a while like me. I couldn’t follow the legs workout in it’s entirety the first time I tried it. In a few months when I’ve got my body fat back down and some reasonable muscle tone going, I’ll probably go back to my old iron-pumping routines, at least partially anyway. But I can see myself following the cardio routines indefinitely. The last part of the program is the EAT RIGHT NOW nutrition guide. This presents solid and correct information and three lists of foods color-coded like a traffic light. The “green” foods are the ones you can eat whenever you want to. The “yellow” foods should only be eaten occasionally and the “red” foods rarely if ever at all. This is the stumbling block for most folks looking to lose weight.I get tired of hearing, “I’ve tried everything to lose weight.” No, you haven’t. It’s not the latest diet pill and it’s not about just reading the principles of good exercise and nutrition. You have to DO it. Exercise – do you really do 30 minutes a day 5 or 6 days a week?. Portion control – do you really only eat steaks the size of a deck of cards? No saturated fat, no trans fat, no refined sugar, no refined flour, no chips, fast food or Twinkies. Except for those with a clinical condition, there is no one on Earth who won’t lose weight by exercising more, eating less, and eating mostly fruits, vegetables, lean protein and whole grains. But you have to actually DO it, not just know that you should.Gilad’s Quick Fit System gives you all the tools that you need: cardio and toning exercise, a progressive routine schedule that starts light and develops more intensity as the weeks go by, sound and solid information on nutrition, a CDROM with more info and online resources, it’s all there. The only thing not included is the desire to succeed. That has to come from you.

Great workouts keep you coming back, February 3, 2008

This review is from: Gilad: Quick Fit System Fat Burning Body Sculpting Cardio Workout Set (DVD)
We bought this one almost a year ago and my wife went from a size 16 to a size 8 (and expects to be in a size 6 by this summer. I lost four inches from my waist.Gilad keeps you motiviated not only during the program but after it. His eating suggestions have different “levels” of foods (red, green, and yellow) with green being the best. And we like to compete with each other to see who can stay the most green. The aerobic workouts are well paced, and work, though some do get old. The toning videos are the best. The “Hips, Thighs, and Buns” video is still difficult after almost a year of doing it.My only complaint is that he filmed them on a public beach (as is his style), but for a system video set that costs as much as this one, I would have expected him to find a more private location with fewer “locals” goofing off in the background. That’s a pretty weak complaint, I admit.Overall, I would suggest this collection to everyone who wants to lose weight.
