I have been lifting weights for about 3 weeks, and I have lost a few pounds, and noticeably gotten stronger. I wish to increase the amount of fat burn from a few pounds to around 20 pounds in a month or so. I do a moderate amount of cardio and eat very healthily. (1500 Calories Daily)

Yes
You’d have to burn 17500 calories to burn 5 pounds, so that’s 17500 a week if you want to lose 20 pounds in a month. Pretty extreme. But if you’re up for it… And to answer your question, yes, you must burn more calories than you eat to lose weight.
You do have to burn more calories to lose weight. Twenty pounds a month is really not healthy at all…you should lose about one to two pounds a week maximum. In truth you have probably burned more fat than you realize. You are building your muscles and increasing your muscle weight. Muscle weighs more than fat so losing a few pounds overall in that time period means approximately 18% more fat lost than those few pounds.
Technically, yes this is correct. Weight control is a rather simple equation in understanding energy balance which is the key to losing weight successfully.
Calorie intake > Calorie use ==> Weight Gain
Calorie intake = Calorie use ==> No change in body weight
Calorie intake Weight loss
Losing weight does not mean avoiding food. Instead, eat less food that is high in fat and added sugar. Eat a variety of plant-based food like whole grains, fruit and vegetables. These food provide bulk and promote the feeling of fullness.
Eat regular meals and avoid skipping meals as it may lead to overeating at subsequent meals.
Move more – Exercise.
Physical activity is an essential part of any effective weight loss programme. It helps burn calories and builds muscles.
Look, forget about cardio or calorie counting. No one can live that way. Eat regularly and maybe throw in a can or two of tuna a day for the proteins. Keep lifting weight and gaining muscle. Every pound of muscle burns 30 calories a day even at rest. Gain enough muscle and your metabolism will skyrocket
Cardio doesnt work and it is counter productive. Unless you perform it on an empty stomach you will only burn blood sugar or even muscles. Ever saw a long distance runner? They all look like they came out of a concentration camp.
